The cornerstone of Brewer, the plaza that started it all. Typically the plaza carries no vacancies, offering a great and varied shopping experience. A myriad of shops present a plethora of offerings to the discerning shopper. As the indoor malls wither and die under their own tumor-like mass of mismanagement, and the short game betrayal of internet shopping, it's once again strip malls and plazas that drag shoppers back downtown. Here is a coalescent backdrop of local and chain that offers downtown charm with the quick and easy access to non-local sundries.
It is you average shopping center with a large parking lot. Traffic lights give easy access. The main store is Hannaford's which is one if the best for selection of all food types in a 20 mile radius. Live some 15 miles away with 3 Hannaford's closer but still prefer this one.
I like this little strip mall because of Hannaford Super Market and Gold Star Cleaners. There's a bank (don't know which one because I don't use it) a chain pizza place which isn't notable for anything, a random Chinese takeout. There once was an excellent local gift shop but they moved on, sadly.
There is a pet grooming shop; Pet Food Store; Bangor Savings Bank; U S Cellular; Rainbow Asian Food; a Smoke Shop; Little Cesear's Pizza; Hannaford Super Market.
Very friendly people willing to listen , even unrelated topics , seem knowledgable. very helpful.
